Sunny and windy – up to about 35 knots from the NE from Mersea to Burnham. HB IV was launched on Friday 29th and was taken to Bradwell. Relaxed ~ 1000h start on Saturday with slightly under-strength and under-fit crew – Jason, Judy, Tim, Nic, Scotty, Helen, Jonno, Paul, Mike and Robbie. Multiple broaches for many boats, including Heartbeat and loss of halyard – quick recovery. Pleased to get line honours, 5th overall. Boatox ran aground and lost mast during recovery – sympathies to Richard and Kay. A great day out. Good turnout at Royal Burnham to see The Geek received the Ralph Herring Trophy.
