30 mile race with 10-14 knot eastery and foul tide beat out to Swin Spitway and South Whitaker with a foul tide downwind return to the Royal Corinthian line pursuing Oystercatcher XXVI all the way. Pretty immaculate race for HB3 with Denis on bow, guests Sue Pelling and Sarah Watson, with Jason Foxhall masting gave us (after a little error by Oystercatcher) the result that we hadnt been anticipating this year. So Heartbeat 3’s name is now on the Burham Town Cup joining a distinguished list including Morning Cloud, Backlash, Cervantes, Thalassa, Sensor, The Geek and Ding Dong. The celebrations went on late into the night and was probably the first time the Town Cup had been into the Slowboat and behind the bar in the ship. What a day!
